THE GERMAN ATELIER
Here's the problem with most beginner courses:
You sit through 40 minutes of explanation, maybe practice one or two sentences, and leave feeling like nothing really stuck. You've been "learning German" for months but the moment someone actually speaks to you — you freeze.
We flipped that.
You watch a short grammar video at home, at your own pace. Then you show up to class ready — and we spend the whole hour on real situations. Ordering at a restaurant, introducing yourself at a party, asking for directions without panicking. Role plays, conversations, scenarios you'll actually encounter.

What You Get:
-
Before each class you get a short grammar video — around 20 minutes. Watch it when it suits you, as many times as you need. Come to class already knowing the concept.
-
No grammar lectures during class. Ever. You already watched that part. The full hour is conversation, correction, drills, real German. With Julia live on Zoom.
-
Maximum 3 students per class. You speak for 20+ minutes every session instead of watching others practice. You build confidence fast because you're actively using German, not passively listening.
-
Google Classroom access for homework, feedback, and all course materials. Plus: free videos you can watch anytime, short audios with exercises for listening practice, Quizlet flashcard sets for vocabulary review, and access to our German language magazine. All yours to keep forever.
-
Homework between each lesson with individual written feedback. Sarah reviews your work, catches patterns in your mistakes, and gives you specific tips to improve. It's like having a personal tutor.
-
Every lesson is recorded and uploaded to Google Classroom. Watch it before the next class so you stay on track. Life happens, we get it.
About your Teacher Julia:
Julia fell in love with languages early and pursued a Bachelor's degree in German Studies and Pedagogics. She won the DAAD Scholarship to study in Germany, giving her true immersion experience from the inside.
Julia is the founder of Atelier Language School in Manhattan and has been teaching German for 7 years to students of all ages and levels: from absolute beginners to C2 exam candidates.
Not satisfied with fluency alone, she went on to earn the Goethe C2 Certificate — the highest level of German proficiency — while working full time. She knows exactly what it takes to go from zero to confident.
Her students don't just learn German: many become life-long friends. Julia's approach is personal, practical, and built around your life.
