Practice speaking German while walking through the streets of New York with Julia, a German teacher based in Manhattan

We pick a route, we walk, and we talk in German. About whatever is on your mind: politics, philosophy, psychology, art, history, science, space, culture. The city keeps moving around us and somehow that makes the language flow more naturally too.

You do not need to be fluent. You do not need to be a beginner either. Whether you studied German years ago and want to shake off the rust, or you speak reasonably well but freeze up the moment a real conversation starts, this is for you.

Hi, I'm Julia!

Born in Russia, studied in Germany, refined in NYC. I have been teaching German since 2019, lived in Germany on a DAAD scholarship, and passed the Goethe C2 exam, the highest German proficiency certificate there is.

At this point I have taught pretty much everyone in New York: lawyers, actors, bankers, journalists, philosophy PhDs, scientists, artists, retirees, three-year-olds, and people who swore they had no talent for languages. Come walk with me.

$150 per hour. All levels welcome. Sessions can run as long as you like.

Los geht’s - let’s make it happen!
